Federal Aid Matching Fund Summary

A tax may be extended at a rate not to exceed .05 percent of the total equalized assessed value of property within the County.  The fund shall be placed in a separate fund called the “matching fund” and may be used for the purpose of providing funds to pay the County’s proportionate share of expenses in constructing or reconstructing highways in the Federal Aid Secondary System, or the county highway network and the costs incident thereto.  The County Board shall from time to time adopt resolutions appropriating federal aid matching funds for specific federal aid projects, motor fuel tax sections, or for transportation planning studies.
