Knox County Extension Unit Fund Summary
University of Illinois Extension provides practical, research-based information and programs to help individuals, families, farms, businesses and communities in Illinois. Its mission in short, is to help the citizens of Illinois put knowledge to work. The County levies a tax to provide revenue for funding the adult educational, youth, and 4-H programs of the Knox County Extension Service at an annual rate not to exceed .05% of the value as equalized or assessed by the Illinois Department of Revenue of all taxable property in the County.
