Deadline for Resolutions to Initiate Referenda

Filing period deadline for
new party candidates. |

Last day to file
objections to candidate petitions filed during the November 28
- December 5, 2011 filing period |
| December 19, 2011 |
Last day to file
petitions for local referenda (except petitions to create a
political subdivision or filed under Liquor Control Act) |
| January 3, 2012 |
Last day for local
governing boards to adopt resolution to place binding public
question on the general ballot (EXC: county, township,
municipal and park boards may also place advisory referenda on
ballot by resolution by this date). |
| January 18, 2012 |
Last day for
county clerk to certify Primary Election ballot to boards of
election commissioners. |
| February 21, 2012 |
Registration
closes at the office of municipal, township and road district
clerks, deputy registrars, agencies. Last day to
register at the election authority's office except grace
period registration. |

Grace period
registration at the office of the election authority.
Grace period registrants vote at authority's office. |
