Genealogy

Availability of Records for Genealogical Purposes:

  • Birth and death records begin in 1878

  • Marriage records begin in 1830

  • Indexes prior to January 1, 1916, are open to the public

Uncertified copies of records prior to January 1, 1916, are at a cost of $5.00.  Records after January 1, 1916, are at the costs as listed in the birth, death, and marriage sections.  Only certified copies are issued. The following records are available for genealogical purposes:

  • Birth records 75 years or older

  • Death records 20 years or older

  • Marriage records 50 years or older
